Figures published in a new report by the UK insurance company Aviva say that one in nine new homes are at risk of flooding.

A water drainage project that will see dozens of specialist planters installed across community venues in Slough will launch this Spring. The planters act like sponges, to naturally soak away and filter roof water, before slowly releasing it back into the sewer system. This reduces the risk of flooding by diverting water from drains and sewers during periods of heavy rain.
