Training
Specialist training for individuals, communities, and organisations
We are currently developing our external training offer to better support individuals, communities and organisations affected by flooding.
Our training aims to raise awareness of the wide-ranging challenges flooded people face, including access to insurance and funding, physical and mental health impacts, and navigating recovery after a flood.
Our training topics include:
Building effective partnerships to improve outcomes for flooded people and influence local and national decision-making.
Developing Community Flood Action Plans to identify flood risk concerns, strengthen preparedness, and empower local communities.
Developing Community Flood Response Plans that set out clear actions before, during and after flooding to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
Bespoke training for existing Flood Action Groups, focusing on collaboration, shared learning, long-term sustainability, and improving flood risk awareness within the wider community.
Understanding the recovery process, raising flood awareness, and supporting people after they have experienced flooding.
